The uploaded images stay hosted for life, however if the image is not active (does not have any page views) for 3 months, it will be deleted. When uploading photos and pics, you can enter an optional description which will be displayed on the viewing web page. Linking codes are provided in several different formats. You can hotlink the autocreated thumbnail image and link it to the larger fullsize image. Directlinking of thumbnails can be done on blogs, online auctions, forums, and other websites. Signing up at PicTiger is not necessary, but free registration will help you manage your hosted pictures.

HugeUploads - "Huge Uploads" is a free file and image hoster for sharing your files online, with no bandwidth limits (unlimited bandwidth). You can upload files anonymously, or optionally register for more options (such as password protecting files). The free image hosting form is for uploading jpg, jpeg, png, and gif pictures with a maximum file size of 2 MB, and hotlinking images is supported. The free file hosting form allows uploading all file types and files up to 500 MB filesize, but the file download link has a 60-seconds delay counter before the downloading process can begin. Your hosted files will be kept on their servers as long as each is downloaded at least once every 30 days (1 month). You may upload a file every 15 minutes, and download a file every 15 minutes, and files less than 2 megs do not count towards your upload/download limits. They have LiveChat ("Live Help" occasionally available), forums, and public email address to contact for support.

AlkaSpace - Alkaspace.com gives you 200 megs of free memory space with 1000 megs of bandwidth monthly suitable for free image hosting of pictures for eBay auctions, Xanga, MySpace, blogs, message boards, forums, websites, or simply to share pictures with your friends or family. You can host JPG, GIF, and PNG files up to 20 megs each, with hotlinking images supported. "Alka Space" offers lots of useful features as creating an auction gallery, an image portfolio, a slideshow, and a special "spin 360" option (360-degree spins). The free image host also has a tutorial to help you to add free images or an online photo gallery to your eBay auction listings. You can use their service without registering if you use the public area ("demo"), but they recommend that you register to have more privacy. Your account is renewed automatically every month. The free photo hosting service says it may place branding on uploaded images, though no watermark was on the image I uploaded in the demo section.

InselPix - Insel Pix is a free picture hosting website which allows unregistered users to upload photos and images, hosted with unlimited bandwidth. It lets you upload and hotlink images up to 5mb (5000 KB), which is fairly large filesize limit compared to most free image hosting services that allow hotlinking full-size images. The free imagehosting web site provides unlimited storage space to upload your pics, and supports uploading these image fle extensions: .jpg, .png, .gif, .bmp. You can hot-link your hosted photos on blogs, forums, ebay auctions, and other web sites.

UploadExtra - "Upload Extra" provides free image hosting services which allow anonymous image uploading with free hosting and hotlinking allowed (you can direct link the hosted pictures on forums, online auctions, social networking sites such as MySpace and Friendster, and other websites. The max image upload limit is 5 mb per image file, and the allowed image types (file extensions) are jpg, gif, png, and jpeg formats. The free imagehost owner claims the uploaded files are hosted forever unless they break their terms of service, and there are no bandwidth limits for hosted pics ("unlimited bandwidth"). There are also no limits to the number of pictures that you can upload ("unlimited diskspace"). The UploadExtra free imagehosting service is currently powered by 100mbps connection dedicated servers which are located in the U.S., and has a vBulletin support forum.

ImageFuse - "Image Fuse" is a free imagehosting / gallery service where people can upload images, hotlink them for ebay auctions, myspace, and so forth. The web site supplies 250mb of images file storage space and 5gb of file transfer bandwidth per month for registered members, and also has anon uploading for people that do not want to register. With the anonymous upload feature, the uploaded pictures can be up to 10 MB each and be one of these filetypes: jpeg, jpg, gif, png (bmp bitmap files are supported for registered users). Thumbnail pics are generated automatically, and you are given several linking formats to choose from. The web-based uploading form lets you upload files directly from your computer or from a URL (an image hosted on another website). The uploaded images of unregistered visitors are automatically deleted from their webserver after 15 days period of inactivity (not viewing the image) is reached or the 100mb bandwidth limit is exceeded (registered users do not have those limits). Registered users have more capabilities such as the ability to create image galleries, and the free imagehost will never automatically delete your file uploads. With the free photo galleries, you allow others to view your personal uploads, rate the pictures, or even add comments about them. The imagehosting service can be used for personal use, such as E-Bay auctions, blogs, personal sites, or message boards, and directly linking images is permitted. ImageFuse.com claims to have 99.9% uptime for hosted images that are kept on fast, reliable, and optimized servers. There is an IPB support forum (Invision Power Board).

MyNetImages - "My Net Images" is a free image hosting service with members interface having features such as desktop-like navigation, one-click multi-image uploading, unlimited sub-photoalbums, public image galleries, and much more. Member registration is required. Supported image formats (file extensions allowed): jpeg, jpg, gif, png. The maximum image size allowed is 512 KB, and the free hosting accounts provide 999 MB of available storage space for your image files. There are multiple account view options, such as thumbnail, list, and image links. You can upload single images or use their Flash-based, one-click, multi-image uploader. At the moment, there is no set time limit on when uploaded images expire, so they are not deleted from the webserver.

FreeImageHost - FreeImageHost.eu is a free image host allowing visitors to upload up to 20 image files at a time (or batch-upload a zip file containing up to 100 images) from their homepage with no registration required. The jpg, png, and gif images can be up to 3mb per file in size. The free imagehost allows unlimited traffic and unlimited uploads and downloads, but if your hosted picture file does not get accessed over a period of 40 days time, it will be removed from their web servers (the 40-day counter gets reset each time the image file is accessed). It is easy to use, but if you need help, they have a FAQ and support forum. For larger images, 180-pixel wide thumbnails are autogenerated (180x180px max size) and can be hotlinked on forums, ebay auctions, and other web sites with the provided BBCode and/or HTML code (but not larger full-sized pictures). You are also given removal codes in case you want to delete the uploaded files. When uploading pics, they can be tagged as SFW (safe for work) or NSFW content (not safe for work). Their website claims the free imagehosting service is powered by dedicated Linux servers.

ImageBee - Image Bee is an easy-to-use free imagehosting services that lets visitors upload images anonymously to share with others, or hotlink pictures and photos on social networking sites, online auctions, blogs, forums, and other web sites. The maximum file size allowed to be uploaded is 2000 KB (2MB), and the image filetypes allowed are JPG, GIF, and PNG file extensions. The monthly bandwidth per image is limited at 500 MB. Hosted pictures are removed from the free image hosting server after 90 days of inactivity. ImageBee also offers a Google Homepage image uploader module so you can use their service without leaving your Google IG Hompage, Google Desktop, or Googlepage.
