I am a novice at this webmaster stuff, but I must say, having spent twenty years in the software and technical support arena, that the team at 50webs is top notch! They respond to my questions promptly and with complete and helpful answers. I will let you know after I have used the service for a while longer what I think about the web site itself. On the other hand, their free webhosting tutorials should be reviewed for spelling and grammer errors.

This free web hosting has extremely easy registration. They give loads of bandwidth and space. I loved their 5mb upload limit giving me much ease on uploading files. So far, so good! I would recomend it to anyone with moderate to high needs for a good free host.

I have been with AwardSpace for over 2 years now, and would have rated it a 9 during that time.  However, it has failed to load my most recent updated webpage, redirecting visitors to one of its partner website. The webpage loads fine in my browser, if read off my hard drive. After manually searching through its forums and FAQs, I discovered that this redirection happens if a webpage contains words on their "Forbidden Words List". However they will not release this list, and you have to send them the webpage in question to review. Though my webpages do not contain offensive material, they do contain personal info that I do not want to share with everyone (I realize it is possible for anyone to view my website). I do not know when AwardSpace started this prohibited words restriction, but I think it is unfair and too tedious to have to send in your webpages for review.  I removed the updated text from the webpage that did not load (so it contains the same text as before when it did load), but it still does not load.

Basically, Byethost is amazing. It has all the basic features an ordinary user would need with some useful extras. The server is quite fast. My favorite feature is the automatic scripts installer, which installs the files automatically (for example, a phpBB forum). However, I do experience downtimes about 2 times a week. Sometimes the My SQL database does not work, and sometimes it just does not load the page.

This is the best free homepage server. I have tried many, but none come close to 50webs.com. There is no hassle and you get an ad-free site. Thank you very much, 50webs.com

I have had my website on kwikphp for 3 days now, and today my website (and the whole domain) is down. Although I may be unlucky, I do not expect a 99.9% uptime.
[Their website downtime lasted several hours, but the web hosting is working again now.]

My web site is rarely up. What is going on? When it is up, it is very good. There is a good interface to it, and good upload and filemanager.

This is terrible! They deleted my free homepage after only 2 weeks!

The subdomain you submitted on phpnet.us loads for me now (March 15). Your free website was probably just down when you checked it, as all the free hosts and their freesites on this server were down for several hours on March 14. The owner said, "From 11:00 to 21:00 GMT we have been experienced a DDOS attack which has made our services unavailable. Our free servers are not in the same DDOS protected network as the paid servers unfortunately. We have been installing a Firebox X1000 hardware firewall. The firewall is now installed and has been optimized to mitigate the DDoS attack. We are pleased to say that all servers are now up and running normally."
